Because of mandatory sentencing for non-violent crimes, a large number of African American males will have no future voting privileges , and limited access to the economic systems since they are marked as "Convicted Felons"). It now appears that African American Females are also being disproportionably incarcerated. This will undoubtedly have a negative impact on the future of the Black Community, both politically and economically. Is there a way to offset the effect of this cycle of incarceration.
